What we believe...and what we value
Here's our statement of doctrinal basics.  We are a Bible-based, Christ honoring church seeking to love the Lord our God with all our being, and to loving our neighbors as ourselves. 
 


Q: What are your fundamental beliefs?  

1. We believe in the one God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, as revealed in the Holy Bible and made known in Jesus Christ our Lord.
2. We believe that Jesus the divine Son became human, was born of a virgin, ministered in word and miracle, died for our sin, was raised bodily from the dead, ascended to God’s right hand and is coming again for His people.
3. We believe that the Holy Spirit is presently ministering through the Christian community, empowering lives of godliness and service.
4. We believe that the Holy Bible is completely God-breathed, true in all its original text, and the final authority for all matters of faith and practice.
5. We believe that Jesus Christ established his church on earth to carry out his saving mission among all ethnic people groups and formed her to be one holy people.
6. We believe in God’s saving grace that calls forth from all people: faith, repentance, confession, baptism and new life and ministry through the Spirit.
7. We commit ourselves to the teaching, practice and defense of these truths until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Q: What are the key values you uphold?

1. TRUTH: we will be committed to preach and teach the Word and believe in its power to change lives.
2. WORSHIP: we believe in exalting the greatness of God in ways that engage our hearts and minds and glorify Him.
3. MEETING NEEDS: as Christ met the needs of those he met, we commit ourselves to imitate him.
4. REPRODUCTION: through our words, actions and lives we will reflect Christ to those around us so they will be drawn into a relationship with Him, the church will grow, start other churches and God will be glorified.
5. MATURING DISCIPLES: we will grow and train disciples so that they can reproduce themselves and disciple others.
6. INVOLVEMENT: we believe everyone is gifted by the Holy Spirit to contribute to the health and functioning of the body and we expect members to use their gifts to meet the needs of the body and the world in which we live.
7. LOVE FOR THE LOST: we will demonstrate Christ’s love and compassion for the lost and not expect them to act as believers.
8. EXCELLENCE: we will continually strive to improve ourselves and our ministries to present God with excellence in all we do.
9. LOVE ONE ANOTHER: we will support and encourage one another, acting with love and compassion in all life’s circumstances.
10. FREEDOM: Christ has set us free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2) and we recognize, respect and uphold individual freedom of opinion on non-doctrinal matters in the spirit of unity and love.
